Our Sister Alliances
Lyricafest
Lyrica Boston was established in 2003 as an affiliate of LYRICA Chamber Music, a series now celebrating its 35th season in the New York Metropolitan area. Lyrica Boston is a 501(c) organization which provides young emerging artists the special opportunity of performing alongside some of the country’s most esteemed and respected musicians. Precious insights and traditions are passed down to the next generations of musicians charged with preservation of classical music. The creative fusion of a lifetime of knowledge with youthful experience creates a one-of- a kind musical experience for the audience.
The Union House
The Union House is more than a house, it is a home for artists. With a physical house in Vancouver, Canada, and a virtual house that knows no boundaries, we support dynamic and affordable living so artist can thrive
buckwheat space
In 2016 Yvonne Buchanan and Dorene Quinn purchased a 2.5 acre property in the high desert in Morongo Valley California and began to relocate their studios and visual art practice from Syracuse NY. The property became Buckwheat Space which now includes the living space- an 800 square foot 2 bedroom wood frame homestead built in 1927, a 20 foot shipping container converted into a sculpture shop adjacent to a 12’x 25’ covered outdoor workspace, a 40’ shipping container with a silk screen printmaking and drawing studio and a 20’ shipping container that houses Buchanan’s video and digital studio and doubles as Vilma Exhibition and Project Space.
ArtRage
We are committed to breaking down the art world’s boundaries about who is welcome. We believe that everyone has the right to art and that art is essential to building an open, just world. Our vision for change is one that creates a community of open-minded, tolerant individuals with an appreciation for the inclusion of art in everyday life. We offer the community an experience that encourages the breakdown of boundaries so that people can see themselves in the work and then in one another. We exhibit art that cultivates critical thinking skills; leading to question the power structures that exist in our society and to imagine other ways of life.
That, we believe, is the seed of a movement for cultural and social change.
As our own artistic programming expands, we are seeking partnerships with other organizations, national and international, to create artists exchanges that create sustainable, beneficial, and enriching interactions for Hawley-Green, Syracuse, and partner communities. - ArtHouse Alliance
