The S.A.L.O.N. (Shining A Light On Neighborhoods) Series invites middle-school-aged (11-14 year old) students of Syracuse to an introspective arts programming, centered around written self-reflection and artistic expression. The S.A.LO.N. Series guides students to write short stories, or make art that describes their perspective, experience and viewpoint of where they live. Students are openly encouraged to express their thoughts, fears and potential ideas for change. Their stories are developed into art, writing or videos and will be showcased to the public.
